10 13th, 2008My kitchen is DONE. Finally, after months of procrastination, I finished it, and it’s awesome!
Now I just gotta load the photos from my camera to my computer, and I can show it off… I now have a pretty sassy faux tile and antiquey-glazed kitchen!

The first snow of the season was falling, and the kids got excited and threw on some shoes and jackets over their jammies and ran outside to see it. Tink wanted to show the snow to her daddy, but she didn’t know that he stayed inside. She started to panic, so I was helping her up the porch (a smallish cement step) to open the door, and Pan pushed ahead of me just hard enough that I started toppling…

He was playing with my wooden spoons - I have one “normal” spoon, and one just like it, but with a round hole bored through the flat bowl (Stirring part).

09 29th, 2008Whew! The Primary program (big church program where the kids sing and explain all the things they learned in Sunday School, for the un-initiated)… It’s done! The kids did great! I had to wear my very tallest shoes so that they could see me when I had to conduct.

09 17th, 2008So here’s just a tidbit of information - I originally signed up for a Kimkins membership after the big article in the Women’s Day in summer of ‘07. I tried it for a little while back then, but got sidetracked with birthday parties and cake and willpower… So I dropped it, and just kind of ate whatever I wanted. I figured that this time around, I’d go with the same plan, since I’d already paid for the info… Well, apparently in the year or so since then, it’s come out that the entire “diet” is basically a scam that encourages anorexic type behaviors - definitely not something that I need to be getting into!

09 17th, 2008Yeah, so we love Veggie Tales, and I especially love that the local library has a zillion episodes that I can rent for only a buck. Now does anyone know if Netflix has the Veggie Tales movies? Because I actually am starting to think that it might be cheaper to get the 5 buck Netflix plan so that I don’t have to always worry about getting the movies back to the library on time.

09 15th, 2008Weight loss appears to have stalled - I’ve decided I’m going to try the Kimkins diet for the next month to see if low carb/low glycemic/low fat can help me break through this plateau. I don’t like being stuck in between sizes! When NONE of my pants fit comfortably, I am a grumpy girl. The 12s are a smidge too tight and the 14s fall off when I walk.

09 13th, 2008Whoof, well, the last 2 days I’ve been super-tired. I was asked to substitute on another paper route, and of course we all know I can’t say no when someone asks for my help. I wasn’t quite sure why they asked ME to sub for someone, but whatever. Luckily it was a small route…
