So I had this fish. A really lovely cambodian colored beta fish.

Then we had this heat wave. Days and days of 99 plus heat. He got droopier and droopier, until the only time he would move was when I plopped ice cubes into his tank. His water temperature was 82 or hotter, and nothing I could do could get the water any cooler, since it was often close to 80 in the house with the swamp cooler on.

Just this morning it was 70 degrees, when we ran errands. Now it’s 40 something outside and hailing and thundering.
