I fell down and went boom. :(
The first snow of the season was falling, and the kids got excited and threw on some shoes and jackets over their jammies and ran outside to see it. Tink wanted to show the snow to her daddy, but she didn’t know that he stayed inside. She started to panic, so I was helping her up the porch (a smallish cement step) to open the door, and Pan pushed ahead of me just hard enough that I started toppling…

So I was in the kitchen getting Tinkerbell a cup of milk, and I come back in the family room, only to notice that my son appears covered in some sort of warpaint. For a moment I thought he’d gotten a glass of Kool-Aid and smeared it all over his face and arms (mental groan, that stuff is impossible to scrub off skin…).

You’re lookin’ at the newest Red Cross certified first aid card holding emergency responder! Well, except that I won’t be holding my card for about a week, since they have to print it and get it to me.
