Delivering papers keeps me busy! I used to have lots of time after the kids went to bed to go and play on the computer, but now I’m going to bed within an hour of when the kids go to sleep!
Anyhow, I have to mention this - last week at the paper’s distribution center, I saw another carrier that I’m pretty sure is my doppelganger. Like you know, you’re wandering around town and someone says “Oh! *Name* I’m so glad - oh wait, you’re not her. But you look so much like her!”…
Yeah, long brown hair, in her 20s but looks 18, same big black glasses. She even does the weird face crumple when you’re remembering that “Oh yeah, supposed to smile at new people” when you’re distracted.
I wonder which one of us is the evil twin?
Also, Saturday was my 6th wedding anniversary! 6 years and we haven’t managed to kill each other yet, that seems like a pretty good track record! (I know you’re reading this - I love you, hon.)
And my sister in law’s wedding is this coming Saturday - Matt probably need some black slacks, and I’m trying to figure out what to do - I’d bought a dress a couple months back when she told me when the wedding was, but I’ve lost enough weight that the dress just falls down in back (it’s a knit fabric halter dress, no zippers or anything). So I’ve got to figure out how to take it in (no side seams, the elastic is sewn to the inside edge, it would be a bear to rip it out and sew it back in!), or else sew a new dress. I’ve got 4 yards of silk in my fabric stash, I bought it on sale years and years ago, but have been too chicken to cut into it. It’s a lovely blood red silk dupioni.
Oh, and a lost kitten tried to jump in my car after following me this morning while delivering papers. Cats really do like me…
