…Rhonda’s blog about anything and everything…
So today I had to get some bloodwork done… at the same time, there is barfing going on at my in-laws house, and my husbnand is at a dental convention in SLC. Which means the kids have to come.
Ordinarily, not a daunting task, except that at my appointment on Tuesday with the endocrinologist, he noticed that my blood sugar levels are right on the border of normal. So guess what that means?
That’s right! A fasting blood glucose test! Fasting, draw blood, drink crap, wait an hour, draw blood, wait another hour, draw blood. And the laboratory doesn’t let you leave, so that they can monitor your activity level (no working out or running or walking or whatever…)
So my poor kids had to spend like, 2 and a half hours in the waiting room for the lab while I got my arm jabbed 6 times. My veins were not very cooperative.
But at least it’s over and I shouldn’t need blood drawn for another 3 to 6 months. *whew*
Oh yeah! And guess what happened yesterday?
A little girl came to our door - she’d been walking her dog, and she said her dog found my phone in a melting snow drift in our front yard! So I dried it out, let it charge over night, and guess what?
After 3 weeks in freezing temps in a snowdrift, the Motorola RAZR works just fine. Isn’t that a doozy? :-D But at least I’ve got my nice phone back! And all my old phone numbers back! Woooo. I think I’m probably a Moto fan for life, now.
But hey, I’m starving, the kids are asleep, and so I’m going to get off the computer and eat some food.
