…Rhonda’s blog about anything and everything…
An account of my adventure this morning - don’t read if you don’t want to hear about surgery on lady bits…
So today I finally was able to meet with the doc to have these weird bits of stuff removed from my vayjay…
Justso you know, I had a perfectly lovely vayjay until my son, and then Istarted seeing these little skin taggy like growths down there. Yurk. But they didn’t hurt or anything, so I figured it was just part ofhaving a baby. After baby #2, they got bigger and bigger and started tohurt. One was huge and stuck out and got in the way of everything -intercourse, going to the bathroom (wiping especially), sitting down injeans, it was just irritating.
So a week ago I finallycomplained to my midwives - they took a look, to see if they could justremove the big one in the office, but it was too big, and vascular(apparently it had its own blood supply, wonderful.) - yesterday was myappointment to have it removed, quick snip snip in and out visit… Thedoc takes a look down there and tells me there is no way she can removeit in the time they had me scheduled for. It had hooked itself aroundsome muscles, and it would need stitches. Lots of stitches.
So Ischeduled an appointment for a week out, since that’s all they had.Poo. I wanted this over, out, and ready to heal. Then they called melast night, around 5:30 - they’d had a cancellation! Woo! So thismorning at 9 am, we headed ourselves to the hospital.
It was solovely - because of where the growths were, the doc needed a nurse -first to hold a speculum in sideways while she removed the big one, andthen to hold me open while she removed the little ones. How dignified. So I brought my Palm along, and busied myself with a hangman game. Theyhad to give me numby shots, and holy cow, they hurt so bad I had tostop playing, because my hands were shaking so much I couldn’t tap onthe screen of my game. Once it kicked in, though, it was fine (untilpartway through, it started to run out, and I could feel that needlehurting - yowieowieow! So they jabbed me again. Yeesh!).
Aftershe finished up, she rinsed and blotted everything (this is maybe adozen stitches all around my poor bruised vay jay…) - and I startedbleeding. Stupid blood vessel and smooshy tissue. So she had to go backand re-suture everything! I’m waddling around with more than 20stitches in my poor little lady bits. Right now I’ve got a fluffy pillow on my chair.
Atone point, I felt like a sock she was darning. And yes, I could feelher pulling the suture thread through my flesh the whole time - itdidn’t hurt, but it was very unnerving.
Oh, and my period started this morning, just before the surgery. What joy.
Now I have to wait 10 days for the stitches to dissolve - no nothing happening down there until then.

jesus christ! what the hell were they from?
yikes! that sounds insanely painful and you sound insanely brave!
*bows before you*
That.does.not.sound.fun.
Get well soon!
yikes - that sounds HORRID!

I hope those ten days go by like fast. Like andale-andale fast. :(
*hug*
I hope you heal quickly. When i had to have my d&c from the miscarriage, they gave me six times the normal painkiller and I sill felt everything.
it’s an odd image: two medical personnel focused intently at your ladybits while you’re kicked back playing with a video game. made me giggle.
*hugs her vagina* That does not sound fun. Glad you were able to finally get the surgery done.
<---
Owie, owie, owie!!! I hope you’re feeling better quickly!!!
The 4 little ones were remnants of my hymen that got irritated and filled with blood and lymph fluid during my 2 pregancies - they were very creepy looking. The big honker, that one’s a little more suspicious, and they are biopsying it, but the doc is pretty sure it’s granulated tissue from where I tore really bad giving birth to Pan, that just didn’t heal well and only got worse after Tink’s birth.
Noooot pleasant.
And I think I’m going to have to call for more intense painkillers, because I feel like passing out every time I stand up, and it hurts like the dickens when I sneeze.
*pouts*
Well, today is going sooooo slowly. Probably because my pain killers aren’t doing doodley squat.
The doc actually thought it was a great idea - she has a Palm T5, and so we chatted for a bit over the various Palms and their merits. I just figured videogames are like a sopoforic, so maybe it would help.
Love that vagina! You don’t know how special a nice one is until yours is in pain every day.
But at least now it’s all fixed, and once the stitches heal, it shouldn’t hurt at all any more…
Yowzas! You totally had me cringing as I read that — I hope you get better quickly.
Ugh! I’m so sorry to hear you had to go through all that. But you’re right, at least it’s done and now is healing time. Don’t sit if it’s uncomfortable! You have every right to prop your feet up and lie down.
Goodness girl! good call on the video game though… I should keep that in mind.
Good luck with the healing… I’ll be sending you warm and cozy thoughts!
Ow ow OW! Many sorries, and hope you’re feeling better. :(
hope it feels better soon - sounds like you’ve been through enough pain with all of this. and yes - lie down, already!
